Old Hall
Restoration/Renovation – Listed Building– Interior Architecture – Interior Design
The Old Hall, a Grade II* listed manor house with origins predating the 1500s, is one of our most significant restoration projects. Evolving through centuries of extensions and stylistic layers, it sits within pastoral grounds complete with moat and lake, embodying the rich tradition of the English manor.
Appointed in 2019, our scope included the interiors of the main house and barn, plus two new rear extensions: a kitchen and pantry, and a leisure wing with pool, gym, and spa. Linked by finely detailed glass connections, these additions create a subtle dialogue between historic and contemporary architecture.
Conservation principles guided every decision, with methods and materials chosen to respect the original fabric while integrating new design with sensitivity. Contemporary art enlivens the interiors, reinforcing the balance between heritage and modern living. The result is a home that honours its remarkable past while supporting a vibrant family life.
