Thieves Hollow
Restoration – Renovation – Architecture – Interior Design
Nestled in the picturesque village of Prestbury, Thieves Hollow is regarded as one of Cheshire’s finest country houses. Originally designed in the 1920s by W. Worthington in the Arts & Crafts style, the property has undergone an extensive programme of restoration and extension, transforming it into a distinguished private residence for a family of four.
Set within approximately ten acres of landscaped gardens and grounds, the house is notable for its distinctive butterfly plan, a design that ensures natural light permeates the interiors throughout the day. A carefully conceived two-storey extension has been seamlessly integrated, providing new leisure and entertainment spaces including a bar, games room, cinema, gym, and spa.
The vision for the project was to preserve and celebrate the home’s Arts & Crafts heritage while introducing a new chapter of sophistication, comfort, and functionality, meeting the demands of contemporary family life without compromising its architectural integrity.
